Adding a Brightcove Video Cloud Stream to your Hub

How to create a Stream of your Brightcove Video Cloud videos in your Hub. If you have trouble, contact us!

To import a Brightcove Video Cloud playlist, you'll need three pieces of information from your Brightcove Video Cloud Studio: your Account ID, Brightcove Application Client ID and Brightcove Application Client Secret.

Below you'll find instructions on where to find each in your Brightcove account.

Your Account ID should be located right under your account name in Brightcove. Copy and paste this information so you can get it later.

To get your Brightcove Application Client ID and your Brightcove Application Client Secret, click 'ADMIN' at the top of the screen in your Brightcove account.

A dropdown menu will appear. Click the 'API Authentication' option.

Click the 'Register New Application' button in the upper right-hand corner.

Completing the fields on this screen will help make it possible to get the videos from your Brightcove account imported. Enter a 'Name' for the application and select your Brightcove account for authorization.

Under the 'Exposed Brightcove APIs' section at the bottom, select 'Playlist Read' and 'Video Read' under CMS.

Also select 'Read' under Players. Then hit the 'Save' button. When finished, your API Authentication screen should look something like:

Here's a closer look at that Exposed Brightcove APIs section:

IMPORTANT

A small pop up screen will display that says 'Copy Your Client Secret'. Your Client ID and Client secret are on this screen. Copy both!

After you've copied both codes and put them in a safe place, hit the 'OK, I copied it' button.

You'll be taken back to an 'API Authentication' screen where you'll see the Application you just registered. You should have three pieces of information from your Brightcove account: your Account ID, Client ID and Client secret.

Now it's time to integrate!

In your Uberflip account, click the plus sign ('+') beside the 'Manage Content' option in the menu on the left hand side.

Select the Brightcove icon in the 'Add A Stream' box that pops up.

Enter your Account ID, Brightcove Application Client ID and your Brightcove Application Client Secret, and hit the blue 'Connect' button.

You'll now see a screen that will have a list of all your Brightcove Players. Select the Player and the Playlist you'd like to import and hit the blue 'IMPORT' link.

Now watch the app as it creates a new Brightcove Stream with all the videos in your chosen playlist.

And you're done! Enjoy Brightcove-Uberflip integration success.
