Custom Domain Overview

October 14, 2014 Uberflip Customer Success

A Custom Domain can be set-up to publish your Hub(s) on your own branded URL, rather than the system defaults (i.e. "").

When you use a custom domain, your readers will see the custom domain in their browser instead of the system default URLs. This is good for two primary reasons:

(1) SEO

Having your content hosted at a domain or subdomain of your choosing means that search engines will consider that content as your content instead of Uberflip's content. This can mean higher and more relevant search results for your content.

This article explains more.

(2) Aesthetics

With a Custom Domain, your users will never know that Uberflip exists, which is exactly the way we'd like it. We want your users to be immersed in a content experience that is entirely your own. You deserve the credit, not us.

When you set up a Custom Domain, all link references, email marketing and system notifications will reflect your domain which you can set at the Folder level for Flipbooks or use as the "home" for your Hub.

If you choose to add your own custom domain you can fully mask any data transfer from Uberflip in your browser. For example, if your website is, you could use a domain such as through which all links and communications will reflect. However, you must register and own the domain and perform some administrative steps with your web host to get things set up properly.
