Problems with the Disqus Integration? Make sure you have a Disqus shortname!
Having a Disqus username is not enough to integrate your Hub with Disqus. You need a Disqus shortname.
Taken from the Disqus Knowledge Base, a shortname is a "...unique identifier assigned to a Disqus site. All the comments posted to a site are referenced with the shortname. The shortname tells Disqus to load only your site's comments, as well as the settings specified in your Disqus admin."
How to get a Disqus Shortname
You must register your Hub with Disqus. You can do that by clicking here: https://disqus.com/admin/signup/. Note that registering your Hub is different than registering for a personal Disqus account.
In the process of registering your Hub with Disqus, you will have to enter a unique Disqus URL. The Disqus URL for your Hub will be your Hub's "shortname".
To integrate your Disqus account with your Hub, you'll need to copy the shortname you created in Disqus.
Already have a Hub connected with Disqus, but need to find your Shortname?
If you're logged in to Disqus as the administrator for your site, you'll be able to find your shortname by clicking on the gear menu in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
Click 'Admin' from the drop down menu, and then select either 'Edit Settings' or the 'Settings' link in the top menu (if you have more than one site connected to your account, you'll have to select the Hub or site that you'd like connected with your Hub).
Look for the 'Shortname' heading, and the Shortname for your Hub will be there.
