Introduction to the Sales Activity Dashboard

January 29, 2018 Uberflip Customer Success

When Sales Teams adopt content as a strategic selling tool, they can increase opportunity engagement, expand their contacts and build trust as a credible resource. The Sales Activity Dashboard provides analytics into all sales activity performed through our Uberflip for Sales tools. This includes Sales Streams and the Uberflip Email Extension.

Date Ranges

You can choose to filter sales activity metrics, similar to the filters on your Content Dashboard. This makes it easy to measure and compare sales activity across different date ranges.

Options include:

  • This Month
  • Last Month
  • Previous 3 months
  • Previous 6 months

Groups and Members

You can also customize your Dashboard view by “Groups” and “Group Members”. This makes it easy to narrow your focus to specific teams or reps within your organization. As a best practice, we advise creating groups for any team within your sales organization. Examples might be “Account Executives,” “BDRs,” or even sub-teams, like “AE Team 1”. You can learn more about creating these groups, here.

Note: When filtering by member you will only see members in the selected group. As a best practice, filter first by Group, then by Member.

Top-Level Metrics

There are four key metrics highlighted at the top of your Dashboard. At a glance, they can tell you how active your sales reps have been and the level of engagement their shared content is receiving. These metrics change to reflect the group or individual member you chose in the filters above. They include:

  • Sales Streams Created - The number of  Sales Streams created by a specific group or member during the selected time period.
  • Users - The number of users that created the Sales Streams during the selected time period.
  • Views - The number of page views on any existing Sales Streams during that time period.
  • Unique Visitors - The number of people landing on your Sales Streams at a given time.

User Metrics

The “Users” tab is a great way to see how sales reps are utilizing content and who your top performers are. For each user, you can view and sort by the following data points:

Note: Remember that these metrics will show data relating to the specific date range you selected at the top of the Dashboard. We will point out where this isn’t the case.

  • Streams Created - The number of Sales Streams an individual rep has created.
  • Avg. Items / Stream - The average number of items included in each of the created Sales Streams.
  • Streams Shared - The total number of Sales Streams a sales rep has shared.
  • Streams w/ Item Views - The total number of Sales Streams owned by that rep that received item views. This is not exclusive to Sales Streams created during that time period. It includes any Sales Stream that currently exists under that user.
  • Item Views - The total number of content item views a sales rep has generated on content they shared.
  • Unique Item Views - The total number of content items viewed by unique visitors to any content shared by this rep. For example, if a visitor views the same item twice, that will only count as one unique view.
  • Unique Visitors (U.V.) - The total number of unique visitors to any Sales Stream owned by that sales rep.
  • Avg. U.V. / Stream - The average number of unique visitors to each Sales Stream owned by that sales rep.
  • Avg. Unique Items Viewed / U.V. - The average number of different content items viewed by a unique visitor.

Sales Stream Metrics

The Streams tab lets you see every Sales Stream your reps have shared with prospects and the level of engagement they’re receiving. For each Stream, you can view and sort by the following data points:

Note: Remember that these metrics will show data relating to the specific date range you selected at the top of the Dashboard. We will point out where this isn’t the case.

  • Owner    - The sales rep that created this Sales Stream.
  • # of Items - The number of content items in each Sales Stream.
  • Unique Visitors (U.V.) - The number of unique visitors that landed on each Sales Stream.
  • Item Views - The total number of times items were viewed in the Sales Stream.
  • Unique Item Views - The total number of content item views a Sales Stream receives.
  • Avg. Unique Item Views / U.V. - The average number of unique content items a unique visitor will consume when they land on this specific Sales Stream.
  • Percent of Stream Viewed - The percentage of items that get viewed in a Sales Stream. For example, if you have 6 items in a Sales Stream, and 3 of them get traffic, that’s 50%.
  • Total Shares - The number of times the specific Sale Stream was shared through the extension.

Item Metrics

Under the “Items” tab, you can see the all of the items that have been shared by your sales reps during the selected time period. This includes any item added to a Sales Stream and any item shared directly through the Uberflip Email Extension as a single tile. For each item, you can view and sort by the following data points:

Note: Remember that these metrics will show data relating to the specific date range you selected at the top of the Dashboard. We will point out where this isn’t the case.

  • Direct Shares - The number of times the item has been shared through the email extension as a single tile.
  • Indirect Shares - The total number of times the item has been shared through the email extension as part of a Sales Stream.
  • Shares - The total number of times an item was shared through the email extension, either as a single tile OR as part of a Sales Stream.
  • Unique Visitors - The total number of unique visitors that viewed this item as a result of it being shared through the email extension as a single tile OR as part of a Sales Stream.
  • Views - The total number of times a specific item was viewed as a result of it being shared through the email extension as a single tile OR as part of a Sales Stream.
