How Can I Embed a Linkable Flipbook Cover Image In An Email?

October 15, 2014 Uberflip Customer Success

We have a linkable cover tool which provides code you can use to embed on your website and blog, but that HTML code is not always fully supported by email clients so we suggest you use another method to email a linked cover image to your Flipbooks.

Step 1:  Save Cover Image To Your Hard Drive

Using our linkable cover image tool, you can save the image displayed in the PREVIEW window to your hard drive.   Click here to find out how to access the Linkable Cover Configure Tool.

Once you have the configuration tool open, you can choose the size (width) of the image and then right-click and save the image you see in the PREVIEW window.   Just make sure you remember where you saved that image on your computer!

Step 2: Open your Email Client, Create a New Message and Insert Image Into Email Body

The details of this step vary depending on your email client, but the concept remains the same.  You need to embed the image into the body, rather than attach to the email, because once embedded you will be able to add a hyperlink to that image that will take users to your Flipbook content upon click.   Some email clients may use an "embed image" option while others may use an "insert image" option.  Check your email client help files to find out how you can embed an image within your email body.

Step 3: Add a Hyperlink to that Embedded Image

Again, email clients vary, but most will allow you to right click on the image after you've added it to the email body and add a hyperlink that will open when users click on that image.  The URL you will use for the hyperlink, will be your Flipbook OR Folder Link.

Once you've done the above, your recipient(s) will have that image to entice them to click and read your great content!
