How to Define How Your Sub-Accounts Can Upload Files

January 27, 2015 Uberflip Customer Success

As a Master Account user, you must define what PDF/Flipbook storage Integrations (Box, Dropbox and/or Google Drive) you want to present to your Sub-Accounts when they login to the Application, and in some cases do a little bit of configuration to complete the integration.

NOTE: You will not be able to access these Storage Integrations on the Create Issue Wizard when managing Sub-Accounts while logged in as your Master Account.  You or your clients will only be able to access these methods of Uploading if you are logging into the Sub-Account directly.  If we did not restrict in this way, Master accounts would be able to view all files/folders for that Sub-Account's integrations and in most cases this is not desirable.

Access Storage Integration Settings

Referring to the screenshot above:

(1) Login to  your Master Account and select Account Settings from the profile icon in the top right of your screen;

(2) Click on Integrations > Storage button in the left side menu; and

(3) Select each checkbox for the Integrations you want to be available for your logged in Sub-Accounts.

Box.com

Box integration requires all Master Accounts to create their own App through which the Sub-Accounts will connect to complete the integration.

  • Copy the "Redirect URL" which references your Login Portal and use that URL when setting up your Box.com App.
  • Follow the "View Instructions" link to setup your Box.com App.
  • During your App setup at Box.com, you will be provided an API Key you need to copy/paste into the "Box API Key" field on your Master Account.

Dropbox

There is no additional setup required for the Dropbox integration.  Simply select the checkbox to activate the integration for your Sub-Accounts.

Google Drive

There is no additional setup required for the Dropbox integration.  Simply select the checkbox to activate the integration for your Sub-Accounts.

Click Save button to activate the new Storage Integrations for your Sub-Accounts and you're all done!
