Metrics Definitions

Below is a list of all of the Metrics we currently provide and a brief description of each Metric.   All of these definitions can be found within the Application itself as well. The definitions are divided into Flipbooks Metrics and Hubs Metrics.

Flipbook Metrics

Page Views

How many pages were viewed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.  Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are ignored.  

Flipbook Views

How many total views or visits within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The 'By Platform' report will show all views prior to 2013-02-17 as "Unknown".

Average Time Viewing a Page

The average time (in minutes and seconds) spent per page within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are ignored.

Unique Page Views

The number of unique page views within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are ignored. Uniques are identified using a cookie since 2013-02-17 and by IP address previously.

Unique Visitors

The number of unique people who viewed your content within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are not shown on the Per Page report. Unique visitors are identified using a cookie since 2013-02-17 and by IP address previously.

Links Clicked

How many links were clicked within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The performance report displays the actual links and their click count.

Page Widget Interactions

How many page widgets were interacted with within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. An interaction consists of a click or touch of any kind. Only one interaction per page widget per Flipbook reading session is counted.

Zooms

The number of times zooming was performed on pages within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The Page Heat Map Report displays specifics of where visitors zoomed-in.

Social Shares

How many times a page was shared within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The Performance Report displays the specific networks shared to.

Pages Printed

How many pages were printed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Using the Per-Page report, you can see which pages were printed the most often.

Search Queries

How many times a search was performed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The Performance Report will display the actual search queries. Archive searches are recorded against the Flipbook from which the search was performed.

Pages Downloaded

How many pages have been downloaded within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Using the Per-Page Report you can see which pages have been downloaded most often.

Flipbooks Downloaded

How many times a PDF has been downloaded within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Bookmarks Added

Annotations Widget: How many pages have been bookmarked by users within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. Using the Per-Page report, you can see which pages were bookmarked the most often.

Bookmarks Deleted

Annotations Widget: How many bookmarks were deleted within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Notes Added

Annotations Widget: How many notes were added within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The Performance Report and Page Heat Map exclude Deleted Notes.

Notes Modified

Annotations Widget: How many times notes were modified within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range. The Performance Report and Page Heat Map exclude Deleted Notes.

Notes Deleted

Annotations Widget: How many notes were deleted within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Clippings Added to Basket (Deprecated feature)

How many clippings were saved to the basket within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Clippings Emailed (Deprecated feature)

How many clippings were emailed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Clippings Printed (Deprecated feature)

How many clippings were printed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Clippings Removed From Basket (Deprecated feature)

How many clippings were removed from the basket within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Crops Printed

How many user created crops were printed within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Crops Saved

How many user created crops were saved within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Text Mode Page Views

How many times a user viewed the plain text version of pages (on Mobile devices) within a selection of Folder(s) and Flipbook(s) over a specified date range.

Hubs Metrics

Page Views

How many pages were viewed within your selected Hub.  Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 60 minutes are ignored.

Average Time/Visit

The average time (in minutes and seconds) spent within your selected Hub. Page Views lasting less than 1 second or over 30 minutes are ignored.

CTA Impressions 

The total number of CTA Impressions (viewing a page that has a CTA on it) for the selected Hub.

CTA Conversions

The CTA Conversion Rate (CR %) is a calculation of the total number of CTA button clicks or form submits divided by the total number of impressions. Overall CTA Conversions represents the value over the entire reporting period, which may differ from the sum of data points shown on graphs and in the CSV export.

Unique Visitors

The number of unique people who visited your selected Hub for the given time period. This is based on a cookie that is dropped onto the visitor's browser. 

Visits

The total number of visits received to your selected Hub for the given time period. If a user is inactive for a 30 minute period and then becomes active again, this will be logged as a new visit. If a calendar day turns over and a user is still active in your Hub, that will also be counted as a new visit.

Pages / Visit

The average number of pages viewed per visit to your selected Hub.
