How to Verify Your Hub with Pinterest

November 20, 2014 Uberflip Customer Success

Verifying your Hub with Pinterest makes it easy for your audience to share your visual content to Pinterest and can help drive traffic from Pinterest to your Hub.

The act of verifying your Hub with Pinterest is a quick and easy process that should only take you a few minutes to complete. Throughout this process, you'll want to have both your Hub open and a separate tab or window open for your Pinterest account.

Step 1 - Visit Your Hub's Integrations Page

Log-in to your account and visit your Hub's Integrations page. Find the Pinterest Site Verification integration and click the blue 'Connect' button.

In the popup that appears, you'll be prompted to enter content from your Pinterest Meta Tag. In the unlikely event you know this information off the top of your head (you're a wizard if you do), enter it now and click Connect to finish setting up your integration.

If you don't know your Pinterest Meta Tag information, click the 'here' button to be taken to Pinterest to find this information.

Step 2 - Get 'Meta Tag' From Pinterest

Once logged-in to Pinterest, click on the Settings icon in the top right of your screen. Scroll down your settings page until you see the "Website" field under Profile. Enter your Hub's URL into the field and click Verify Website.

If successful, a popup will appear that contains the Pinterest 'Meta Tag' code that will allow you to verify your Hub with Pinterest. In the piece of code next to the "How to verify" box, copy the text between the quotations after you see the word 'content=' (i.e. 5edb93...). Don't click Complete Verification just yet, we've got a few more steps to complete first.

Step 3 - Paste 'Meta Tag' and Connect

Return to the Uberflip application and paste the Pinterest 'Meta Tag' into the popup you originally saw in step 1 and click 'Connect'. Your Hub and Pinterest account are now connected, but you're not done just yet.

Step 4 - Return to Pinterest to Finish Verification Process

To finish up, just return to your Pinterest tab or window and click Complete Verification. Pinterest will then look for the verification code on your Hub and let you know whether the process was successful.

That's it! You've verified your Hub with Pinterest.
